HeliosGen generation stuck or failed: check the Kie task

Find out whether a HeliosGen request is queued, failed or finished in Kie.ai. Understand the app timeout, recover completed results and avoid duplicate submissions.

When a HeliosGen generation appears stuck, find the corresponding task in Kie logs before submitting again. A queued or generating task is different from a failed task, and an app timeout does not establish that the provider stopped working. Record the task state, recover a completed result if available, and only retry after checking the original request.

Version checked: HeliosGen 1.2.1 source and Kie task documentation, October 15, 2026. This guide covers Kie Market tasks. Other provider routes can use different status formats. We have not run a paid generation or reproduced a provider outage.

1. Find the exact request

Open Kie logs in the account used by HeliosGen. Match the approximate time, model and prompt to the attempt you are investigating. Keep the task identifier, latest state and error text together. Do not assume the most recent row belongs to the visible node if several branches were submitted.

If there is no matching task, check whether the app rejected the request before submission. A missing credential, incomplete input or upload error belongs earlier in the process. The connection checklist helps isolate that stage.

2. Read the provider state before deciding

Kie's task-detail documentation distinguishes the following states for Market jobs:

StateWhat it tells youNext action
waiting or queuingThe task is waiting for processingKeep the identifier and check the same task again
generatingProcessing is underwayAvoid submitting the same job again
successThe provider reports completionInspect the returned file and save a local copy
failThe task ended in failureRecord the error and fix its cause before retrying

A successful task-creation response only means that a task was accepted. It is not a completed image. When a developer checks the API directly, the same documentation says to inspect the JSON code; an HTTP 200 response can still carry an error.

For a manual check, the provider dashboard is usually the clearest starting point. Do not build a tight polling loop in a terminal to make the task finish faster.

3. Understand the app timeout

The HeliosGen 1.2.1 Market-task poller checks status on a three-second interval and ends its polling window after twelve minutes. It also handles failed states and successful responses with no output URL. Those are distinct error paths, so preserve the full visible message.

That deadline belongs to the app's polling logic. It does not prove the provider canceled the task or that submitting another job is necessary. If the app times out while Kie still reports processing, retain the original identifier and check its eventual result.

The same source explicitly excludes the separate Google Veo API response format. Do not generalize these exact timings and states to every video model. Record which route and model you were using when reporting a problem.

4. Recover a finished result before regenerating

If Kie shows success, open the returned media and check that it is complete. Save it to your own project folder. Kie's task documentation says generated files are kept for fourteen days, so a provider link should not be your only archive.

If HeliosGen still shows a failure, distinguish provider completion from app display or storage. The poller implementation tries to store returned media and can fall back to the source URL. A result visible at the provider can therefore be useful evidence when diagnosing the app.

For example, a fictional incident record might say: “App timed out; original task later shows success; downloaded output opens correctly; no replacement task submitted.” Record what you actually observed rather than adopting this example as a result.

5. Retry only the smallest corrected request

If the task failed, identify the error category first. Authentication, a rejected parameter, a reference-file problem and provider processing failure require different changes. Review the image submission implementation when investigating version-specific behavior with a developer.

Change one input or setting, then retry one branch after checking its cost. Keep the old and new task identifiers side by side. If the same unexplained error repeats, stop the batch and send a redacted report to the appropriate maintainer or provider.

Download the stuck-task incident record. It has fields for app state, provider state, recovery and the retry decision. Once a result is recovered, use the export and approval guide to keep the approved file, source workflow and campaign handoff together.
